Our E-mail Privacy Promise

When filling in the submission form for the Purple Heart website, it is a must to fill in your current e-mail address. The e-mail address must be current and valid. If we have a question about the submission and need to get ahold of you, we use the submitted address for that purpose. We also use the submitted e-mail address to notify you when the submission has been added and is on-line. That is all we use the e-mail addresses for.

We promise not to distribute, sell, give away or share your e-mail address with anyone else. Not now or ever. We do not add your e-mail address to the database. In rare cases we have added e-mail addresses with the submitter information, but that was requested by the submitter and we have tried to stay away from that only because addresses become useless very fast and because we can not stop others from spamming you if it is posted to the website. We are doing this website only to honor those who have given for their country, we are very much against spamming and have done everything within our power to make sure that doesn't happen.

When you click the submit button, your form is not kept on the website, it is instantly sent, therefore no one can skim the site for e-mail addresses. Once the recipient is added to the database and we have e-mailed you to let you know your submission has been added, we then delete your submission from our computer, your e-mail address is not kept for any purpose.

It is our promise that we will not allow anyone else access to your e-mail address for any reason. If this page still hasn't answered your question about your e-mail address and you still have doubts, please e-mail us direct and ask.
