| Are you at or near the limits on your lines of credit? | ||
| Do you usually pay the minimum on your credit cards? | ||
| Are you thinking of borrowing money to pay your debts? | ||
| Are creditors calling you regarding late payments? | ||
| Does your financial situation weigh on your mind? |
If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, credit counseling could be worth considering. By learning how to manage your money, you can straighten out your finances, protect your credit rating and get your life back on track.
You will meet a budget counselor who will conduct a thorough and confidential analysis of your current income and living expenses. Your assets and debits will be examined and evaluated. Together you will develop a spending plan and solutions to your problems will be discussed. To determine if you qualify, fill in our confidential questionnaire and submit it, electronically.
If your budget does not stretch far enough for full payments to all your creditors, but does allow for reasonable payments, a debt management plan may be for you. CCCS will make arrangements with as many creditors as possible to accept lower payments. Some creditors may stop or lower the interest and finance charges for clients. Each month you pay a specified amount to CCCS which is deposited into a trust account for dispersal to your creditors.
CCCS offers seminars to the public as part of our on-going education program. Presentations are made to schools, clubs and businesses about all aspects of money management and credit. These presentations are easily adapted to all ages, from teens to senior citizens. Please call for information.
