DSL service requires a DSL modem to make the connection. A standard modem will NOT work with the service. If you are switching to Excel.Net DSL from another DSL provider you may already have all of the equipment needed to get up and running. Otherwise you will want to select one of the packages below so that you have are able to connect with the new service. All DSL modems include one 6' CAT5 cable and the telephone cable.

Single Computer - $49.99 This kit includes a DSL modem with ethernet or usb connections for connecting to your computer. This is ideal for customers that have a single computer that will be using the Internet. Simply plug one cable into the computer and the other into your DSL service and you will be up and running in no time!

Multiple Computers/Wireless - $99.99 This kit includes a DSL modem/router with a single USB connection and up to 4 ethernet connection ports. In addition to this the router also has 802.11g wireless networking built in making it great for connecting laptops and other machines wirelessly. Ideal for the home or office with multiple machines where some will connect wirelessly. Please not that you will need to have the computers networked into the device either via CAT5 cabling or a wireless adapters (not included).

Filters
Included with all DSL modems we supply 5 line filters to insure your DSL service operates at the fastest speeds possible. You will get 3 inline filters, one wall filter and one splitter (allows phone to connect to same jack as DSL). You will need one filter for each phone, fax, modem or other device connected to the same number that the DSL service is being installed on. Additional filters can be ordered at time of signup if needed.

Inline filter - $5.99 This is placed directly between the wall jack and the telephone. This is ideal for any phones not mounted to the wall, modems, fax machines or satellite receivers with phone jacks.

Wall Filter - $9.99 This will mount over your existing wall jack and plug directly into it. It includes the hooks needed to then place your phone over the filter and leave it mounted to the wall.

Accessories
Additional items that can be purchased when signing up for DSL service. These can be used to connect additional machines to your network or get your computer ready for DSL if you do not currently have a network adapter. All accessories support Windows98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems. Please note that the images shown are for reference only and actual product models/brands may vary.

10/100 PCI Ethernet Adapter - $19.99 This 10/100 Ethernet adapter will plug into your computer giving you the network access needed to connect your computer to the DSL Modem/Router. NOTE: Most newer systems will have an Ethernet adapter installed already on the system. Opening your system may void system warranty, Excel.Net is not responsible for any damage caused installing adapter.

USB Ethernet Adapter - $29.99 This USB Ethernet adapter will plug into your computer giving you the network access needed to connect your computer to the DSL Modem/Router. NOTE: Most newer systems will have an Ethernet adapter installed already on the system.

7' CAT5 cable - $3.50
25' CAT5 cable - $5.00 CAT5 cables are required to connect the Ethernet adapter in your computer to the DSL modem/router. One 6' CAT5 cable is included with each purchase, order more if you will be connecting additional machines.

802.11g USB Wireless Adapter - $54.99 If you are purchasing a wireless DSL modem or have a wireless network already in place this adapter is ideal for connecting another computer through an available USB port on your system. 802.11G adapters support speeds up to 54Mbps giving fast internal networking.

802.11g PC Card Wireless Adapter - $54.99 If you are purchasing a wireless DSL modem or have a wireless network already in place this adapter is ideal for connecting a laptop computer to the network using an available PC card slot. 802.11G adapters support speeds up to 54Mbps giving fast internal networking.
